Louann Flaherty

     Louann Flaherty teaches piano, violin, viola, and cello. She has a performance degree in piano and violin from UNI, a Music Education degree, and is a Suzuki certified teacher. A native of Waterloo, Luann started playing piano when she was 7 years old. Her father was from the Ukraine and built violins as a hobby which inspired her to play the violin. Her mother was a teacher and that inspired her to teach. Louann has been teaching for 50 years. She is capable of teaching piano and strings at all levels and a variety of styles including classical, fiddle, and sacred. She is extremely patient and flexible with her students and is a positive, upbeat teacher that encourages her students to progress.
