Summer Camps

KidzRock

Kids of all ages can play in a rock band! This camp is open to all levels of musicianship, including total beginners. Throughout the week, your child will learn how to play drums, guitar, and keyboards as they prepare to play and sing in a real rock concert. The fun rock band format helps kids fall in love with music and feel good about their abilities. Students will spend time in band practice learning all three instruments, a dance routine, singing and writing lyrics to songs, and crafting props for a rock concert that they will perform at the end of the week.

Calling all violins, violas, cellos, and bassists! Come join with like-minded friends who enjoy playing orchestra music together for a great week of musical fun! Participating students only need one year of experience playing their instrument. The Iowa Chamber Music Collective is excited to take students to the next level in their playing while forging friendships with others in the community.

Music Production Camp

Ages 10-16

​9 AM to 12 PM

July 6-10, 2026

$150

This camp is designed to boost creativity and give students the tools they need to be their own DJ and lay down the tracks. During this camp students will compose, record, and edit their own music using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). Students will finish with at least one digital track, and the course will end with a concert sharing each participant’s tracks. If your child enjoys laying down beats using apps, or has a shared interest of music and technology, this is their camp.
