Eric Coyne

A native of Iowa, cellist Eric Coyne was an active teacher, performer, and chamber musician in the Philadelphia region from 2001 - 2024. He was master cello faculty, taught chamber music and music theory, and coordinated the strings and chamber programs at Community Music School of Collegeville Pennsylvania from 2002 - 2024. He also taught Suzuki cello and cello group classes, music theory and sight-reading within the Suzuki Academy at Music School of Delaware from 2009 - 2019. His performing commitments included Symphony in C, Murmuration Improvisation Ensemble, Arcana New Music Ensemble,
The Martha Graham Cracker Cabaret, Prometheus Chamber Orchestra, and the Mühlenberg Piano Quartet. He recently relocated to the Cedar Valley to pursue teaching strings and orchestra in Iowa public schools. Mr. Coyne holds a B.M. in Cello Performance from the University of Iowa, and an M.M. and Performance-Pedagogy Professional Certificate from Temple University.
