Music is in my DNA! Growing up, my parents owned a music store and were thoroughly involved in music. I began studying piano at the age of 5 and have loved it ever since for its ability to express things beyond the ability of words. From junior high on, I was involved in church music as an organist, vocalist, and pianist. My experience is varied and includes accompanying instrumental soloists and groups, vocal soloists, serving on both traditional and contemporary worship leadership teams, teaching piano, and playing just for the sheer joy of making music!

I am a teacher by nature; I love creatively coaching students (of all ages) to reach their full potential! My teaching experience is varied and includes teaching all ages from 4 years old to adults. I believe in lesson planning to include a variety of activities that positively engage learners of all styles.

My husband and I met in a vocal ensemble which I accompanied and have been married for 28 years. We enjoy serving at our church and raising our two teenage daughters, silver lab puppy, and elderly mini-dachshund. My interests besides music include learning, reading, crafty things, movies, laser tag, mysteries, travel, and rating college cafeterias as we embark on college visits with our oldest!
