Mary "Mo" Hinman

Mary "Mo" Hinman has been a private music teacher for 17 years and has taught all variety of age groups.  Mary specializes in trumpet but has experience with quite the variety of instruments.

Studying classical and jazz performance at the University of Northern Iowa, Mary has experience in teaching college students, as well as teaching privately out of her home for elementary, middle school and high schoolers.

​

Mary is full of positive energy; she not only teaches how to play well and read music correctly, but she also teaches theory, music history, vocabulary, and especially musicianship!

 

Mary heralds from Independence, Iowa but currently resides in Cedar Falls and plays in many local bands that feature across the Cedar Valley.

Overall, she is very fun educator and expects hard work from her students as well as the ability to focus in lessons.
