Lizzy De Jong

     Lizzy De Jong is currently pursuing her Music Education major at the University of Northern Iowa. She is originally from Oskaloosa, Iowa and is thankful for the involvement with her local Orchestra program from the age of 8 years old. She can play violin, viola, and a bit of piano. 

 

     Lizzy currently studies with violin professor, Dr. Sang Koh, and is under Dr. Erik Rohde's baton with the Northern Iowa Symphony Orchestra. She also has had the fun opportunity to play with the South East Iowa Symphony Orchestra recently. Lizzy has taken private lessons since 2009 and has now been spreading her love of music through private lessons since 2019. As an instructor, Lizzy likes to incorporate an eclectic variety of teaching materials and methods to create a well balanced player.
