Ryan Frost

An active performer and versatile educator, Dr. Ryan Frost shares his expertise in numerous areas of percussion such as snare drum, mallet percussion, drum set, marching percussion, hand drumming, and world music.

 

Ryan serves as Instructor of Percussion at Wartburg College, teaching classes in percussion performance and pedagogy as well as a variety of academic courses within the music department.  A classically trained percussionist, Ryan has performed with many regional orchestras, as well as African, taiko, gamelan, steel pan, and Brazilian ensembles.   

 

Teaching at Music Hill Studios allows Ryan to share his passion for percussion, connecting with community members of all ages from elementary, to high school, to adults.  Lessons provide the opportunity to experience the breadth of percussion, and are tailored to each student’s goals and learning style.
