Dmitrii Vasilistov

Dmitrii Vasilistov teaches the upright double bass. He graduated from Saratov State Conservatory (Russia) with acknowledgment as a soloist, and received his Masters of Music from the University of Northern Iowa in

double bass performance. He has participated as a soloist, and as principal of the double bass section of Penza state Philharmonic. He has also performed in international festivals in the USA and Europe such as Woodstock Music Festival and the Yehudi Menuhin Festival. Dmitrii was a faculty member of Penza State Music College as a professor of double bass. While studying at UNI, Dmitrii participated in many master classes with outstanding double bass musicians such as Barry Green, and Paul Johnson (Peabody Conservatory). He regularly performs with Liudmila Lebedeva, cello faculty of Music Hill Studios, for local events such as Hearst Center exhibitions and he plays with the Wartburg Community Symphony Orchestra.
